V&A Museum

The V&A is the world’s leading museum of art and design, housing a permanent collection of over 2.3 million objects that span over 5,000 years of human creativity. The Museum holds many of the UK’s national collections and houses some of the greatest resources for the study of architecture, furniture, fashion, textiles, photography, sculpture, painting, jewellery, glass, ceramics, book arts, Asian art and design, theatre and performance.

Membership Card Print and Welcome Packs

On demand production of welcome packs and membership cards provides the V&A with the flexibility across a very large range of membership levels. Using a data driven solution that creates variable printed output means that urgent copy updates, exhibition dates and image changes are easily made. The ease by which these amendments are made, in conjunction with the advantage of member personalisation, provides extensive flexibility in membership communication. It also that helps keep costs down and improves communciation pertinent to each member.

Membership Renewal and Reminders

Included as part of their Romax built autoflow is the facility for regular data uploads that drive member communications. This includes the notice of membership renewal. Personalised and image and copy appropriate communications can be printed and despatched across the world for both UK and International Membership Subscriptions.

Gift Memberships

The V&A offers gift memberships that subject to the giver’s preference, produce multiple letter and content versions. With a gift letter being sent to the recipient, an acknowledgement letter being sent to the giver, and at renewal a split option for the giver to re-gift or failing that, for the previously gifted member to the invited to join independently.

This all works from a planned data process that subject to response and activity, drives alternative communications and reminders as appropriate – again all on demand as part of an automated process.

Fundraising Using Direct Mail

Many charities and membership organisations use direct mail marketing as a cost effective and non-intusive method of asking for donations or gifts from their supporters and members. The V&A utilise this method appropriately and to great success.
