Romax are pleased to announce a new vacancy for an experienced Print Finisher, as part of our on going business expansion. We are looking for an experienced individual to fill the following position:
Working hours: Two shifts on a 1 week rotation; 8.00 am – 5.00 pm & 11.00 am – 8.00 pm (45 hours per week, with half-hour paid daily break for lunch)
Salary: Competitive Salary, negotiable based on experience and fork lift truck license
Responsible to: The Production Manager
Annual Leave: 20 days plus Bank Holidays (22 days after 2 years service)

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
As an experience print finisher you will be working within the production environment and responsible for all aspects of the finishing process to ensure production output continually meets specified quality standards within the agreed timescales. A strong and proven background in print finishing and the ability to hit the ground running is essential, with a valid licence in reach and counter balance truck being desirable.
DUTIES:
Please note the following points are not necessarily listed in priority.
• Work as part of a team and be responsible for own work
• Self supervision – should be able to complete all necessities independently, with some supervision where necessary
• In house training and support will be given where necessary
• Experience Machine Operator, list of machines: Duplo Guillotine 660, Duplo Cutter Crease/Slitter, Morgana UFO Folding Machine, Accufast FT Tabbing Machine, Foliant Mercury 400 SF, Foliant Gemini C400, Mitamax
• To have a good understanding of numeracy and measurements
• To be able to communicate, both internally and externally
• Upon full training by a competent person you should be able to use and change the guillotine blade when required
• Upon full training: Fork lift operation, daily maintenance and record keeping
• Liaise with carriers and couriers
• Be capable of using our in-house System
• Be capable of running additional production machines and equipment when required
• Take deliveries and assist with the despatch of work
• Picking, packing boxing & processing any fulfilment orders & making sure they are completed at a high standard
• Completing daily work sheets and working to set deadlines
• Ensure all mailsort bagging is tagged with the right service of postage and codes including cage cards
• General warehouse work including cleaning work stations daily, keeping warehouse tidy and in line with Health & Safety Regulations
• Assist Senior Supervisor and Production Supervisor with the training of new staff
• Read job sheets and follow instructions fully
• Set up jobs and get the job sheets signed off before commencing job
• Be responsible for self and other employees Health & Safety, well-being and to adhere and encouraging colleagues to adhere to Health & Safety Regulations at all times
• To check and maintain quality standards on all jobs by adhering to Production Guidelines
• Make sure all work produced through administration or any other related work is to the highest standards in order to maintain our professional status
• Ensure that all completed jobs are on a trolley accompanied by a trolley label (cage card)
• To be able to meet deadlines at all times
• To remove rubbish on a regular basis
• Ensure all overs are kept away on completion of each job
• Promote the company through fair dealings with colleagues and customers alike
• To complete any other job requests were necessary
• This position involves some lifting up to 30 Kilos.
