Romax charity support
Romax has always supported good causes. Each year we select, through a process involving all employees, which charities we will support. We always look to help a local charity and make sure that we can give back to our local community. We then organise a team to participate in fun and exciting challenges to raise money for that charity.
Local charity support
We support Porchlight a south-east based charity whose aim is to eradicate homelessness and rough sleeping in Kent and South-East London.
Proud Sponsors of Canterbury Pride since 2018.
Local support of Greenwich food bank. We are very proud of our team for helping out and donating food and much needed health and sanitary products, we also made an additional cash donation of £500 help sustain the great work that they do in our local community.
Volunteering with community projects
As long as Romax has been trading we have sought to pass it forward and pay back to society. Whether through our charity work, fundraising or sponsored ‘good cause paid workdays’ where our team members work for charitable organisations, including Demelza Hospice Care.
Work experience opportunities
We offer work placements, apprenticeships and skills training days where suitable and work with organisations supporting social mobility by providing work experience opportunities to help people get back to a position of self-sufficiency.
Educational visits
We offer educational visits to the Romax site, free marketing and data communications training days to provide students, clients and school children seeking work experience insight, opportunity and content to bolster their understanding and improve their life chances and CVs.
Positive environmental change
We actively promote positive environmental change and seek sustainable solutions (often at a higher cost ) to enable clients to meet their own sustainability targets so that we can create a platform for all of our clients to benefit from a mutual approach to sustainable environmental communication.
Our regular communications to clients provide tips on how to save money, improve efficiencies, introduce new and innovative schemes as well as introduce members or our team. For other previous examples of our client newsletter, please visit our back catalogue.
Leading the way in fundraising
Robin Sumner, our Managing Director is a positive influence on the business particularly when it comes to fundraising for good causes. Every year, sometimes twice a year, he will be doing something to raise money. As well as entering the team events organised by Romax such as the Snowdonia Challenge and Three Peaks Challenge, he has also raised many thousands of pounds for charities in his cycling, swimming and extreme challenge events, ranging from Solo Swimming the English Channel for Demelza Hospice, Completing the Ice Man Polar Challenge for Porchlight, long distance cycling events for The British Heart Foundation and Pilgrims Hospice, amongst others.
